Minutes of the Sport England Meeting

On the 6th July 2004 a meeting was held at the head offices in Holborn London. The meeting was brought about by the reluctance of the British Aikido Board to deal with many matters which are highlighted in the article The British Aikido Controversy, one of the main points was the award of the now infamous Bronze Samurai Statue awarded to 5 genuine teachers and the notorious Mr Jack Poole. Attending the meeting were representatives of Sport England's head of Governing Bodies, For the BAB - Mr V Sumpter Chairman BAB, Mr Ralph Reynolds ex BAB Vice Chairman, Mr Dominic Foster.. For the complainants Henry Ellis - Derek Eastman - David Humm the administrator of the NACD Aikido-Database.

The BAB were instructed to act more in line with the needs of a governing body, they were also instructed to issue a full and open public apology to Henry Ellis.
